The Caveman – A quick tutorial

Hi there!

I always liked well drawing cavemen! They’re just funny and every illustrator feels really free to draw anything… really anything : they will finally come up with some cool prehistoric guy!

Our friend here (below) was made using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, a very good software for beginners… and professionals as well!

Drawing Digitally Gaston Lagaffe - Hommage à Franquin 20 ans

A quick video tribute to Franquin, the great Belgian cartoonist, father of Gaston Lagaffe, the character who arrives one day in Spirou magazine, at February 28, 1957 and has reversed the image of the conventional hero in ... doing nothing!

Here, I remade "digitally" a drawing that appeared on the 4th cover of the album entitled : The heavy past of Lagaffe. Years ago back in 1994, I had remake the same drawing using gouache paint, directly on the 3rd cover of one of my notebooks. Last year, I found it while I was doing some garage sale, and as I currently draw often on my tablet, the idea came to me : remake again the same drawing, in timelapse.

Rahan is a French comics series about an intelligent prehistoric man, that appeared first as part of Pif gadget starting in March 1969,[1] then published in albums of 2 to 4 complete stories. It was initially written by Roger Lecureux, and after his death in 1999, by Zam, DeHuescar).

It was later adapted into a 2008 Italian-French animated television series, titled Rahan: Son of the Dark Age.
